A.J. Odasso at Porter Square Books

Last night, Harte and a handful of wonderful people from my Creative Writing MFA cohort at BU came to see me read from my latest collection, The Dishonesty of Dreams.  Michael Sisson, another local poet, also read selections from his first collection.  Despite the awful weather, the turn-out was sufficient to make for an intimate evening of verse followed by a Q&A.

Harte has asked me to choose a teaser poem to post here on the blog; after five weeks of assisting with administrative catch-up duties here at CE, I’m transitioning to more of a pinch-hitting freelance editorial role.  I’m pleased to be a member of the team, and I’m equally pleased to share this poem.
